Winner of 2007 Sustainable Quality Award Grand Prize recieved from the Santa Monica Chamber of Commerce and the City of Santa Monica.

reDiscover works with the community. We collaborate with a dozen civic and non-profit organizations to provide creative experiences and information about environmental sustainability throughout the Los Angeles area in 2007.

ReDiscover is a non-profit, community resource that promotes creativity in early childhood and elementary education while encouraging environmental responsibility. We recycle everyday discards donated by businesses, such as plastic, fabric, wire, wood, metal, glass, and more and give them new purpose as hands-on learning materials.

Spark of Provocation
One of the most frequent questions at Open Hours is "How do other teachers use this?" Jennifer Kirkby Tatro, shares her observations of the 3 year olds in her classroom with this "Would be Discarded Circles" essay. She has also started a fantastic reading list for us.

Do you have photos, a new book or a story to share? Send it to us and we'll grow together as a community of learners.
